Read this, Bubbleboy:  Kathleen Day, a former Washington Post reporter now at the Center for Responsible Lending, and Kirsten Keefe, a founding director of Americans for Fairness in Lending, ran one seminar.


They discussed proposals that included more disclosures about teaser rates and put-ting an onus on lenders to make sure borrowers can afford a mortgage after a teaser rate resets. Both ideas seem reasonable and not unduly burdensome in a process that already involves a ton of paper work. Congress has considered ideas along those lines
